Sally Glennon
Special Music Engagement Adviser
I have been a singer with Lost Chord for several years and in that time it has been a pleasure to see and experience first hand the incredible effect our Lost Chord sessions have on the lives of people living with dementia. During my Covid gap year I did courses in singing for health studying the impact of singing on people with mental health, depression, chronic pain and lung problems. I believe in the transformative power of music and enjoy seeing the way it changes our physical health and wellbeing.
John Highfield Publicity
John Highfield has been looking after Lost Chord UK’s newspaper, magazine, radio and television publicity for more than a decade.
Originally an award-winning journalist, specialising in theatre, cinema, television and the arts, he also edited a range of lifestyle and business magazines.
He lives with his family in Sheffield and when he is not looking after publicity for a range of charities, businesses and arts organisations, he is an enthusiastic amateur actor, dance lover, reader and fan of silent and Golden Age movies from both Hollywood and Europe.
Gill Goodrich
Our very own merchandise creator!
Gill volunteers her time and talent to help us make even more impact and to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Gill’s first project was to create bespoke Choir of Hope Badges for every member of the choir and session leaders. She has also created stickers for community concert attendees which are always really appreciated by children. Lost Chord Trustees
Benjamin Frith Chair
Ben has had a musical career spanning more than forty years, spurred on by youthful top prizes in the Busoni and Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competitions. These resulted in many exciting Concerto performances with such orchestras as the Warsaw Phil and Israel Philharmonic. He also made recording cycles for Naxos, principally of Mendelssohn and John Field, which spread his name around the musical world.
Concentrating on chamber music in recent years, he became pianist in the renowned Gould Piano Trio, with an extensive discography and made many tours to N. America. The trio have become regulars at London’s Wigmore Hall and enjoy giving master classes to talented young chamber groups.
Ben’s connection to Lost Chord began many years ago at a house concert he gave, attended by Founder, Helena Muller, following which, she invited him to become a trustee. Her enthusiasm was infectious and it was fascinating to see the workings of a charity- the problems that have to be overcome, and the strategies that have to be made.
Benjamin is very happy to Chair the Board, hoping to help make a difference to people’s lives through music.
Mark Procter Treasurer/Vice Chair

Mark was a concert volunteer at Lost Chord for 12 years before becoming a Trustee in 2022. He therefore brings a client and service perspective to the Board of Trustees.
Mark lives in Sheffield, close to the Peak District, where he and his partner Adele enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, rock climbing and mountain biking.
Deborah Stone Secretary
I am a retired civil servant. Wherever I am and whatever I’m doing, music makes me tick. My link to Lost Chord came when a family member was diagnosed with a rare form of early onset dementia and lived some of their final years in a care home. I already knew a little of the joy that music can give to people with memory problems and this was cemented by seeing Lost Chord musicians in action. I’m so happy to support them in continuing that wonderful work.
