About Troy

Troy Cook, 26, is a multi-talented, dedicated musician and multi-instrumentalist from the Borough of Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. He works as a tutor and manager at The Musiclab in Welwyn Garden City, where he teaches a wide range of ages and abilities, including individuals with learning difficulties (such as brain damage, autism, and ADHD) and physical disabilities (such as blindness and mobility impairments).

Troy’s passion for music extends to his role as an audio engineer at Farm Factory Studios in Welwyn Garden City. He also works with Hertfordshire Music Service, teaching percussion to primary school children at Summerswood Primary School in Borehamwood, and performs in various bands in the Hertfordshire/London area.

What Inspired Troy to Run

Earlier this year, Troy attended the London Landmarks Half Marathon of 2024 to support a friend (now girlfriend). This experience inspired him to make a positive change in his life, develop a passion for running, and make a difference in others’ lives. Troy believes that Lost Chord UK’s work, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown period, aligns perfectly with his beliefs on the power of music and his heartfelt passions for both music and running.
