The Lady Members of Sickleholme Golf Club in Bamford have been working hard for a whole year to raise more than £5000 for Lost Chord UK.
The Derbyshire club is celebrating its 125th anniversary and all of its captains have chosen a charity to support and fundraise for, including Ladies’ Captain Anne Riddick (right) who has raised an amazing £5430. This will help to pay for professional music therapy sessions across the UK for people living with dementia and their families.
Lost Chord UK Chief Executive Jean Collingwood (left) has commented: “Captain Riddick’s unwavering support for Lost Chord UK has been nothing short of extraordinary,”
“She has dedicated her time, energy and creativity to organise a wide range of events and activities, from cake sales to craft fairs to raffles, all in support of our cause.
“Her passion and commitment have touched the hearts of everyone involved, and we are truly grateful for the generosity and kindness of everybody at the club.
“Our community choirs and projects like our FREE Tea and Tunes every fortnight at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, and our therapeutic music sessions at Moorlands House Residential Care Home in Hathersage in the Hope Valley, just down the road from the Sickleholme Golf Club are shining examples of the different settings and ways we support communities, and the impact we can make when we come together.”
