Anna-Marie has a special birthday gift for dementia charity Lost Chord
It was a double case for celebration as Anna-Marie Wilcock celebrated her 50th birthday with a special gift for top dementia charity Lost Chord.
Anna-Marie, who lives with husband Andy and her family in Sheffield, is a volunteer for Lost Chord, the charity that provides vital interactive musical experiences for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region and nationally.
And as she approached her 50th birthday she decided that the gift she wanted most was donations to Lost Chord, eventually raising a very special £250 for her favourite cause.
“My heart is in the work I do for Lost Chord and it’s good to offer a little financial support too,” said Anna-Marie who not only volunteers for the charity but also organises fundraising concerts and gives talks on Lost Chord’s work.
“Anna-Marie goes above and beyond to help Lost Chord and all those people who struggle with this devastating disease,” said Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller.
“People like her are the life blood of an organisation like Lost Chord, giving their time, dedication and enthusiasm to make a difference to so many lives.”
