It is with delight that we can confirm that Maria King, one of our LCUK musicians, completed the Manchester Half Marathon in May 2023.
“I completed my challenge of jogging half a marathon… I have aching legs today so having a couple of days off from training. It was extremely hot in Manchester on the weekend and people had serious issues requiring the medics. I am chuffed that I didn’t pass out as I am not in anyway an athletic person, but have being trying hard to get there and my ultimate goal is to complete another marathon in August.”
Well done Maria! You have certainly found the superhero in yourself. We all wish you the very best for your marathon in August!
