Football keep fitters score for Lost Chord
YOU don’t have to be a musician or organise a concert to make a difference to leading South Yorkshire dementia charity Lost Chord.
The men from Wales High School Keep Fit Class raised £250 at a summer barbecue and a series of weekly football matches throughout the school holidays.
And that money will go directly towards providing vital interactive musical sessions for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region.
“We think that Lost Chord is a very good way of helping people in their later years and we shall continue to support the charity in the future,” said spokesman Dave Jones.
Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller commented: “It is only thanks to the support of people like Wales High School Keep Fit Class that we are able to continue to providing our sessions, which really do touch the lives of people living with dementia in a very special way.
“Music is a key to unlocking the lives of people with dementia, even if it is only briefly, and this donation is vital as we continue to fulfil a busy schedule of events across South Yorkshire and beyond.”
