We’re thrilled to share that Lost Chord UK has been featured on Martin Logan’s The Irish in the UK TV Show! This special episode, filmed at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church in Thrybergh on 14th November, perfectly captured the magic of our work and brought a dose of festive spirit to screens across the nation.

As part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations, this episode showcased one of the many uplifting concerts we deliver each week to support people living with dementia and other neurological conditions. The concert at St. Gerard’s was a true celebration of community, connection, and the power of music to bring joy and reduce social isolation.

Highlights of the Show
The event brought together talented musicians and passionate volunteers to create a truly unforgettable day:

  • Ciaran Boyle – Winners of All-Ireland Bodhrán titles, delivered an extraordinary performance.
  • Martin Frain – Enchanting audiences with his mastery of the Uilleann Pipes.
  • Sally Glennon – One of Lost Chord UK’s exceptional professional musicians, led the event with warmth and energy.
  • St. Gerard’s Primary School Children – Their Irish dancing, led by inspiring teacher Lizzie Jenkinson, added an extra touch of joy to the celebrations.
  • The Keane Song – A performance by the children that resonated deeply, capturing the essence of memory and connection.

The kitchen was bustling with Christmas cheer thanks to Lucy Ann, Angela, and Mary, while Lost Chord UK Trustee Deborah Stone and volunteers Pippa Harder, Christine Whitehouse, and the ever-smiling Michael ensured everything ran smoothly.

A particularly touching moment came when Carmel Stagles, a member of the audience, shared how Lost Chord UK’s interactive music sessions make her and her husband feel uplifted, connected, and full of hope.

Why This Matters
This feature gave us the opportunity to highlight the life-changing work we do to support local people, reduce loneliness, improve health and wellbeing and foster a sense of community through music. From care homes to community spaces, Lost Chord UK has been transforming lives for 25 years—and this event was a perfect reflection of our mission.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Martin Logan and his wife Annette for inviting us onto such a wonderful show and for helping us share our story with the wider community.
