Rotherham golfers give a fundraising boost to Lost Chord

THE keen golfers of Crookhill Park Golf Club in Rotherham have proved themselves just as good at fundraising as they are on the greens.

Club captain David Hoyland chose top South Yorkshire dementia charity Lost Chord as his charity of the year.

And 12 months of fundraising saw the club make a donation of £613 to the organisation that provides vital interactive musical experiences for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region and nationally.

“We were delighted that David selected us as his charity for the year and even more delighted by the fantastic fundraising effort,” said Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller.

“This fantastic sum will go a long way towards helping us sustain our programme of wonderful musical events, all of which touch the lives of so many people living with dementia.”
