Some Voices raise more than £3,000 for Lost Chord
THE combined vocal talents of acclaimed London choir Some Voices has raised more than £3,000 for leading South Yorkshire dementia charity Lost Chord.
The 600-strong musical group – billed as the ‘choir without the boring bits’ – presented a week of concerts at the Rivoli Ballroom in London’s Crofton Park, with all the proceeds going to Lost Chord, the charity that provides vital interactive musical experiences for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres both across Yorkshire and nationally.
“It was an amazing turnout and the choir managed to raise £3,380 for Lost Chord,” said the charity’s Chief Executive Helena Muller.
“This amount of money really will make a massive difference to our programme of musical events. which touch the lives of so many people.
“Music can and does have the most incredible effect on people living with dementia and we thank Some Voices for their enthusiastic fundraising which allows us to reach out and help many more people through the power of music.”
