Tribute to Claude Debussy
Gillian Farnsworth has been busy at this year’s Dore Well dressing. She has chosen Lost Chord as the designated charity and references Lost Chord in her work. Gillian says: “I’ve designed this year’s well dressing on the theme of the power and healing of music. As it’s the centenary of Claude Debussy’s death, his image and many references to his life are also depicted. On the lowest third of the main frame is the saying ‘When words fail music speaks’.”
Lost Chord is delighted with Gillian’s work and with the opportunity to have our valuable work showcased this week in such a beautiful format. Don’t forget the collecting box for the charity is open each night by the village green on Savage Lane until Sunday 15th July, when the screen will be taken down.
