Stephen Baldwin is about to discover his super power fundraising for LCUK

To raise money for Lost Chord UK, Stephen is taking on three challenges over the course of 2024!

Challenge #1: Climbing Mount Kenya (all 5,199 metres of it);
Challenge #2: Completing the Three Peaks with his dad; and
Challenge #3: Running around the 67 mile Isle of Wight coastal path.

Stephen has a busy and exciting year ahead of him in 2024 and the training has already started.

“I won’t pretend to know much about Dementia. But what I do know is that it seems like an extremely lonely place to be. My grandma has lived with it for several years now and definitely doesn’t know who I am anymore – despite my best efforts to remind her that I am her favourite grandchild.

What I find remarkable is that – despite her condition – my grandma will tap and sing along to hymns or songs that she recognises. It’s as if the music unlocks memories that could otherwise be lost. This is why I want to raise money for the remarkable Lost Chord UK. After all, the show must go on!”, says Stephen.

Thank you to those that are able to donate. For those that can’t, perhaps you can send him some song recommendations for his running / walking playlist!

Here at LCUK we are all very grateful for Stephen’s enthusiasm and amazing help with fundraising. We will be keeping all our supporters up to date with any further news. Watch this space!
